The holy temple of Bijli Mahadev, which is situated in the Kullu Valley and stands at an elevation of approximately 2,460 metres. Embarking on the Bijli Mahadev hike, one can relish the companionship of tall trees and breathtaking views. it is an ideal trek for beginners as well as travellers.
The gleaming 60-foot staff of Bijli Mahadev can be spotted from a considerable distance. According to mythology, the temple is struck by lightning every year, earning it the name Lightning Temple. The lightning strike alters the position of the Shiva Linga, which is then reattached by the temple priest using sattu and butter as an adhesive.

Day - 1
Arrive in Kasol
After arriving in Kasol, it's a good idea to take some time to rest before embarking on your adventures. Once you're ready, head out to explore the scenic riverside and organic farm at TRO. From there, make your way to the markets of Kasol, where you'll discover an array of amazing hippie shopping opportunities and can indulge in some mouthwatering Israeli cuisine at the local cafes of Kasol.
Day - 2
The trek starts from a small village near Bhuntar (Kasol) . From there, one has to hike through a picturesque forest trail, which leads to the Bijli Mahadev temple. Along the way, trekkers can enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. It is a moderately challenging trek that takes around 2-3 hours to complete, covering a distance of approximately 4 kilometres.
We stay the night in the camps under the stars in the divine energy of Shiva.
Day - 3
Kasol Waterfall, Manikaran & Sunset
We wake up to the most beautiful sunrise of our lives at Bijli Mahadev. Then head down towards our commute to Kasol. After a long bath in the natural waterfall of Kasol, we visit Manikaran Gurudwara, relish the Langar and Prasadda and return home after a relaxed sunset to depart for the day.
